This is my 100th post on LordKingSquirrel.com, and to celebrate this milestone, here’s a bit of a retrospective on the last 1+ years of blogging here.

Space Science
In February 2005 I wrote about an exciting discovery by the Spirit rover, a new class of rock on Mars. Also in February, I wrote an essay on the weaponization of space based on a paper I did for a class at UND. More recently, I’ve started a (mostly) regular feature on space called Everyday Space. The focus of this feature will be mainly on those things from the space program that impact our everyday lives. It’s still new though, so expect a wide range of topics.

GIS and Mapping
In July of 2005 I took the Google Maps API plunge and created a mashup highlighting pollution risks to a local aquifer, the Equus Beds. I also did some work on samples of ArcWeb Public Services using PHP. I posted an index of those articles in March 2006. Earlier this year I started another new regular feature called Everyday Maps. This series will look at maps that are used in our daily lives, and some interesting maps that you might want to take a look at.

Programming
In August 2005 I wrote a short piece on Fun with JScript/JavaScript talking about some of the fun things I’d done with the language lately. I also pointed out my projects page in a post in August. These are just some interesting work I’d done over the years that I didn’t want to lose track of.

It’s been a fun one hundred posts, and I look forward to the next hundred.
