Last month I posted a preliminary image of M71 taken by me using the UND Space Studies Internet Telescope. This was just a first run using the observatory, and was not meant for anything special. But I thought that I’d process the image a little bit and see what it looked like.
To review, the image was taken using an SBIG STL-6303e CCD attached to a Meade 16″ LX-200. Imaging was done on 9 Sep 2006 at 3:51:43 UT. It was a 15 second exposure. The only processing done here was linear brightness scaling using the defaults in AIP4Win v. 2.1.0. Oh, and I cropped it a bit.
