One good thing (not the only one, by any means) of working for the Government is that you get a good number of holidays. Today is one of them, the holiday mashup known as President’s Day.
So I’m home studying for a test in Space Politics and Policy - a fascinating topic by the way - and doing some odd jobs around the house. Oh, and doing some work on some client websites. And other stuff. Perhaps not much of a day off, but sometimes doing stuff that you don’t normally do is more relaxing than doing nothing.
Don’t forget the “Presidents” in the Day: George Washington and Abe Lincoln. Two of our most famous presidents, and perhaps two of our best. Go out and cut down a cherry tree, or write some stuff by candlelight on the back of a coal shovel. Or at least get out and do something useful.
