About Me

I’m a graduate of Missouri Western State University (go Griffs!) with a degree in Mathematics. I have over 20 years of experience in software development in industries as diverse as aerospace, trucking, legal services, and higher education. I’ve worked on many different systems, including the IBM AS/400, Intel based PCs, IBM’s 3090 line, and HP9000s.

I currently work as a GIS Analyst for Sedgwick County, Kansas where I use ESRI’s line of GIS products (ArcGIS, ArcPad, ArcSDE, etc).

In addition to my day job, I’m a graduate student at the University of North Dakota working on a Masters of Science in Space Studies through their distance program.

About LordKingSquirrel.com

What is a Lord King Squirrel? At a job I had several years ago, a co-worker called programming etc “squirreling away”. And since I was the manager of the programming team, I was then Lord King Squirrel.

The site was started in early 2005 as a way to express my views on a variety of topics, including programming, GIS, and space. I also put myself out there as a speaker on those topics and highlighted some of my published articles and papers.
